Upcoming 2023 Volvo Lineup

Here is everything new about the gorgeous lineup of crossovers from Volvo.

Volvo manufactures some of the most stunning SUVs available. Additionally, in order to maintain its lineup current for the 2023 model year, Volvo has made a number of small adjustments, some of which have an impact on many models.

With Volvo's T8 drivetrain, all Recharge models are plug-in hybrids that come standard with one-pedal driving and a longer all-electric range.

The shift logic is modified for each vehicle in the lineup.

The Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription trims have been eliminated in favor of new equipment levels: Core, Plus, and Ultimate, which is also new for 2023 Volvo SUVs. Volvo refers to Base, Bright, and Black as separate packages for exterior design options.

Depending on the model, those cosmetic options may be combined with the equipment levels.

2023 Volvo XC40

Starting MSRP: $36,350

For the 2023 model year, the tiny XC40 gets some modest modifications, including the brand-new B4 and B5 mild hybrid drivetrains from Volvo. In comparison to the latter, the former generates 247 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The XC40 B4 comes standard with front-wheel drive, while the B5 variants come standard with all-wheel drive.

The Volvo XC40 will also get new interior options, a reworked overhead console, updated paint colors, a new grille with an updated emblem, improved LED headlights, and updated paint shades for 2023. Two USB-C connectors have taken the place of the outdated USB-A ports in the front row, and two-zone climate control is now the norm.

Volvo's new Google-based infotainment system, which features voice control, over-the-air upgrades, and Google Maps navigation, is now a standard feature.

2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge

Starting MSRP: $53,550

The all-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge gets a new front bumper, grille, and LED headlights to match its twin, the swoopy C40 Recharge, much like the gasoline-only XC40 did.

Volvo also included new wheel designs and altered its exterior colors.

Try the new Tailored Wool Blend upholstery, which is exclusive to Volvo's Recharge models, if you want something a little different from the standard XC40.

2023 Volvo C40 Recharge

Starting MSRP: $55,300

The Volvo C40 Recharge, which debuts in 2022, receives minor upgrades for 2023.

It was the second EV in the series after the more conventional-looking XC40 Recharge and one of the first cars to employ Volvo's new Google-based infotainment system.

The contrasting black roof is no longer available and has been replaced with body-color paint. New interior materials are also available.

2023 Volvo V60 Cross Country

Starting MSRP: $48,800

The Volvo V60 Cross Country is a wagon with a lift, making it the ideal vehicle for people looking for a small car that is comfortable, practical, and capable of off the beaten path. The 2023 model year will have improved paint colors, a new rear bumper with disguised exhaust tips, and a modified front grille.

Every Cross Country wagon is now powered by the new B5 AWD mild hybrid drivetrain, which in this case generates 247 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Furthermore, two USB-C ports are now considered standard.

This is also true with Volvo's new Google-based entertainment system, which gives the V60 Cross Country access to the Google Play app store, voice commands, and over-the-air upgrades in addition to Google Maps navigation.

2023 Volvo XC60

Starting MSRP: $43,450

Along with the general modifications that its stablemates also get in 2023, the Volvo XC60 small crossover maintains its current design.

For the XC60 Recharge plug-in hybrid, new paint colors and interior materials are now accessible, including Volvo's Tailored Wool Blend.

Volvo considerably expanded the electric range of its plug-in hybrid model late in the 2022 model year from 19 to 36 miles, which raises the amount of the federal tax credit that is available to it.

2023 Volvo XC90

Starting MSRP: $56,000

For 2022, Volvo revised the exterior style of its flagship model. As of right now, the XC90 also gets new mild hybrid drivetrains in addition to the general modifications that affect the entire Volvo series.

After considerable revisions for the 2022 model year, the Volvo V90 Cross Country is carried over into 2023 with minor improvements.

This upgraded wagon previously got a new mild hybrid drivetrain, infotainment powered by Android, and additional technological amenities inside.

It now has new paint options, a 360-degree video view system, full ambient lighting, a four-zone standard climate control system, and an air purifier.

2024 Volvo Embla

Starting MSRP: Yet to be determined.

The Embla, a three-row luxury EV, is likely to shortly join Volvo's roster of electric crossover vehicles. This new flagship vehicle, which is anticipated to come for the 2024 model year, should make its formal premiere by the end of 2022.

The Volvo Embla will use modular architecture created especially for EVs rather than sharing its underpinnings with the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge.
