The Home Of Uncompromising Vehicles

Isuzu Motors Ltd. is a Japanese multinational vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Its primary business is the manufacture, marketing, and sale of Isuzu commercial vehicles and diesel engines.

The company also has a number of subsidiaries and joint ventures, including UD Trucks, Anadolu Isuzu, Sollers-Isuzu, SML Isuzu, Jiangxi Isuzu Motors, Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia, Isuzu Malaysia, Industries Mécaniques Maghrébines, Isuzu UK, Isuzu South Africa, Isuzu Philippines, Taiwan Isuzu Motors, Isuzu Vietnam, Isuzu Motors India, and BYD Isuzu.

Isuzu has assembly and production operations in Fujisawa, which have existed since the firm was formed under previous names, as well as in the prefectures of Tochigi and Hokkaido. Isuzu-branded cars are now available in the majority of commercial vehicle markets across the world, including the USA. Their principal market concentration is on commercial diesel-powered trucks, buses, and construction equipment.

The characters for Isuzu mean “fifty bells" and are named after the Isuzu River. Due to a lack of sales, Isuzu exited the US consumer market in 2009. Isuzu has traditionally been largely a maker of small to medium-compact autos and medium-heavy and bigger commercial trucks, but markets throughout the world have varied demands.

On January 31, 2009, Isuzu Motors America stopped selling passenger vehicles in the United States. The business informed its dealers that it has been unable to acquire commercially viable alternatives for the Isuzu Ascender and Isuzu i-Series. In 2007, Isuzu sold 7,098 vehicles. In the United States, this action had no impact on Isuzu's commercial vehicle or industrial diesel engine activities. Budget Truck Rental has a deal with Isuzu to manufacture rental trucks, which is shared with Ford, GMC, and Navistar International.

Isuzu Ascender

The Ascender has an excellent warranty and a pleasant ride, but it lacks rivals' fuel efficiency and interior quality. The Ascender offers jumbo SUV space as well as mid-size SUV mobility. Despite being identical to GM-branded SUVs, it comes with a longer warranty (3 years/50,000 miles) and a lower starting price. With their low fuel efficiency, there is no place for large SUVs that can only get 15 miles per gallon of gasoline. The majority of reviewers believe the Ascender is a decent buy due to its seven-year/75,000-mile powertrain guarantee, but others believe it is too expensive for what you receive. The Ascender is available in one trim level with the option of rear- or four-wheel drive.
